Wanda huffed, still hung up on the mission you had with Bucky weeks ago wherein you had to play pretend as a married couple. There had been a kiss or two or many during that time, and it felt impossible not to tell your best friend about it, especially since the mission had lasted a little over a month.

Wanda knew what you felt towards Bucky. In fact, she was the only one who knew, or at least the one you shared th information with, and she made sure to ask everything about the mission, even if it took days for her to interrogate you.

The mission was sort of a blessing in disguise and a curse at the same time. You were glad to be able to spend time with Bucky in ways you've dreamt of, but there was also the horrible reminder that none of it was real. With how avoidant Bucky was with you, it was impossible for any of it to happen outside of the mission.

Wanda eventually joined Vision for dinner, and you politely declined the invite. Being a third wheel to a couple who was all but telepathically connected was not ideal. And then Bucky was there. Out of nowhere, mind you. He just loved to pop up.

"Hey," he murmurs a greeting. And then he was kissing you. Like he had when you were undercover, but you weren't undercover and this isn't your fake home in Los Angeles for the mission, this is the Avengers compound and _he's kissing you._
