Bumi is Avatar Aang and Katara's first child and eldest son. He was born as anonbender but he later developed airbending abilities after the Harmonic Convergence. Before his retirement, he was the commander of the Second Division of the United Forces. Bumi was named after Aang's childhood friend, King Bumi of Omashu. He also has a dragonfly bunny spirit as a friend called Bum-Ju. He has an airbending brother, Tenzin and a waterbedning sister, Kya.
