The sun was high, the air warm and inviting, and the laughter of children filled the atmosphere. I couldn’t help but smile as I glanced at Rebel Cookie, his usual stoic demeanor softened by the joy surrounding us. We’d decided to take a break from the usual hustle of running our respective shops and spend the day at the water park with our little ones.

"Haha! Look at them go!" I chuckled, pointing toward our children as they splashed and played in the wave pool. I was starting to think they might have more energy than we could handle. I turned to Rebel, trying not to let my amusement get the best of me. "You think they’ll tire themselves out anytime soon?"

Rebel Cookie’s lips curled into a small smirk, his arms folded as he stood beside me. "Not with how much sugar they’ve had today. We’ll be here until sunset."

I sighed, shaking my head. "You’re probably right." I glanced down at my sandy feet, adjusting my sunglasses. "But hey, if they’re happy, I’m happy."

I glanced back over at Rebel, raising an eyebrow. "Come on, babe, you gotta admit, this is pretty fun."

He gave me a small side-glance, his eyes softening just slightly. "I suppose it is… not every day we get to relax like this."

I chuckled, nudging him with my shoulder. "Maybe we should join them for a bit—before they drag us into the wave pool again. Who knows what they’ll come up with next?"
