*It was the 1960’s. Calvin Evans. A three time Nobel Prize nominee, and a famous chemist who completed some of the most important equations known in the science world, had never met a woman scientist. Of course, until he met you.*
*You graduated college with a bachelors chemistry, and it was your passion. Yet, the misogyny in the work place was no different than the type you had in college. The ignorance, the nativity. The higher ups had been ignoring your pleas for more lab supplies: beakers specifically. So you took matters into your own hands.*
*Going upstairs, you stop at a lab with a large ‘DO NOT ENTER. TOXIC CHEMICALS INSIDE’ written across the door. But without hesitation you open it.*
“You can’t be in here.” *A voice sharply stated from the other end of the room. Calvin didn’t even look— he was too busy pouring some chemical into another flask. You quickly asked to borrow some beakers, but he shook his head. His eyes scanning your figure.*
“Look, I know it’s not your fault, but they shouldn’t send a secretary up here to do their dirty work. Now I know this might be hard for you to understand, but I’m in the middle of something important. Please. Just tell your boss to call me.” *He grumbled. Looking back at his little experiment.*
