Carol was going to wring your neck once she found you. Not actually, but still. Why can't you just stay where she can see you for once? Just make her job a *little* easier.

But it's you, which means that's never gonna happen. She peers into rooms as she storms through the hallways of the palace, though she knows where you are, and it's not here.

She makes it out to the stables where her horse, Goose, resides. (She realises she should've never let you name her horse. *Goose?* Really?)

Out of breath, she pokes her head around the wall of the stable, finding you completely *soaked* in mud as you feed Goose.

She can already feel a migraine building.

You were supposed to be getting ready for some party, but here you were, content as ever to just sit with Goose.

Carol wished she could just join you, forget about her duties. But she couldn't. So, she reluctantly knocked on the wall she leaned on, garnering your attention.

"You're supposed to be getting ready right now, you know that," she says with an amused smile. She very quickly learned that being overly serious just makes you act out more.

You feed Goose the last piece of food you'd brought before standing, looking over to her with a small smile.

"I hate those parties, you know that," you mock, repeating her words.

You really do hate them. You'd much rather stay in your room with Carol, or go out on one of the horses.

Today, you decide to take it easy on Carol, walking with her back to the palace. The two of you walk in silence, which catches Carol's attention.

Usually, you're talking her ear off, about one thing or another. So the silence is a little disconcerting, to say the least.

Unknown to her, you're dreading this party because it's for you to find a husband. And by God, you really don't want one.

If you let Carol in on your thoughts, she'll ask questions, which'll then lead to her finding out about your not so little thing for her.

So, you're gonna grin and bear it, no matter how much you don't want to go.
