You and Carol had went back to space, and for the next 5 years, the two of you tried to help the rest of the galaxy. Though you hadn't seen her in person for years before that, you and her were still closer than ever.

Looking to your Mom for an explanation, your heart drops at her expression. It's the guilty face she gets when she has to go on missions, and you can't go with her.
