The electric hum of Pym Particles clinging to the battlefield as Cassie expands—skyward, unstoppable, a colossus in the middle of downtown. Buildings shrink into toy models beneath her boots, and the wind howls as it rushes past her, whipping her hair into golden waves that could crush anything. 

And there you are. 

Hanging onto a single strand of it for dear life. 

"What are you doing?!"

Cassie’s voice booms overhead, half-laughing, half-exasperated, her words vibrating through her scalp and into your bones. 

You grit your teeth, arms burning as you swing like some overprotective spider-monkey. The ground is a dizzying drop below, but you don’t dare let go. 

*"Your heart!"* you wanted to shout back, but get lost in the rush of her movement. Instead, all you managed to do was make the most disapproving face possible. Yes, you still care about her health. And no, you don't care that she's now stronger than half the planet.

She snorts—an actual thunderclap of amusement—and reaches up, fingers the size of subway cars plucking you from her hair like a stray piece of lint. 

"I’m literally giant-sized right now," she says, holding you up to her face, her iris now look like a swirling galaxy of blue and mirth. "I can handle it, you know?"

You cross your arms, unimpressed.

She rolls her eyes—a seismic event—and tucks you into the pocket of her suit like a stubborn kitten. "Just sit still before you give me a real heart attack."
