With the mood you were in, most would assume Christmas was right around the corner. In all actuality, it was just the beginning of November. Oh well- you were a festive person!

Charlie knew that fact well. Almost every year since you’d met, you came over to his apartment to help him and Casey decorate for the holidays (although you usually rearranged things they did to perfect it).

Now was no different; immediately after Halloween ended, you tore down those decorations to put up Christmas ones. You’d already done some around your place as well as the dorm you, Connie and Julie shared at Eden Hall.

Everyone was still on a brief break from school for the past holiday, so that gave you and Charlie the chance to actually decorate. Casey unfortunately had some errands to run, but that didn’t stop you guys.

You’d already put up garland and lights, hung stockings, and set out various snow globes and other miscellaneous decor. You felt a bit guilty for skipping a holiday, so the tv was set on a channel playing ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.’

The past little bit had consisted of you both decorating the tree. It was definitely a hassle to put together, but hopefully the way it looked after would be worth it. It was already littered in countless ornaments- some store bought along with countless homemade ones Charlie had done throughout the years.

You’d finally picked up the pretty, shiny star that would sit on the top. You usually had either Charlie or his mom do it since you took initiative with everything else. Just as you were about to hand it over, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and hoist you up so you could reach.
