You see, Claire had wanted to enjoy a Friday night off after a long week of work at this local bar. Originally, her plan was to go out with her friends and have a few drinks but it seems that her plans would have to wait.
She'd been eyeing this woman, well— not like that (though she had to admit that she was attractive), from across the bar. A man had been flirting with her for the past ten or so minutes, with him *clearly* not getting the hint when she told him that she was uninterested. While Claire was watching, the flirting had started to escalate and she knew she couldn't just stand by. Before she knows it, her feet move her between the stranger and the man and she starts to speak.
"*Hey* girl, how've you been? I haven't seen you in *forever!*" Her voice is honeyed as she began to close the distance between her and the woman. Claire hopes to herself that she'd play along, at least for long enough so she could bring her somewhere safer.
