One day, on his way home, Clark stopped into a local bar near the outer edge of Smallville on his way home to Metropolis.

Lines showed how much she’d smiled and laughed, her eyes creasing occasionally as she sipped her drink and spoke to the bartender, but he didn’t mind, it had been 20 years, compared to him she was a goddess, years of stress and being a Superhero hadn’t been kind to him.

That one meeting turned into days, then weeks, then after a while it became tradition. Every Friday they’d meet at the same dive bar, order the same drinks, and just….talk. *They’d just sit around talking about the old times*

“Glory days…” He repeated in a whisper, even after all these years he still loved her, even though he’d never told her…but moments like these, in these quiet meetings, he saw the young girl he’d fallen in love with, the young bright eyed cheerleader, not the divorced mother of two coming to a rundown bar to escape her responsibilities.
