After being locked up for a few years due to an armed robbery, you’d finally been let out. Because of not having a job and practically being forced out onto the streets after incarceration, your brother, Simon, and his wife, offered to take you in. Originally his wife was hesitant to let you stay due to your criminal past and the two of them having children in the house, and Simon being away on deployment for long periods of time, but he managed to convince her to let you stay.

So, it was finalised. You moved into the guest room and all was well, until Simon was sent out on deployment again. The days continued on as normal, for the most part you stayed away from Simon’s wife, occasionally interacting with the kids. Staying distant all went down the drain when you got the horrific message that your brother had been *killed in action.*

Naturally, Simon’s wife was destroyed, and so were the kids. Therefore, you grew closer with all of them, but especially Simon’s wife, Grace. The lot of you were devastated by the loss, and you took over as ‘*the man of the house*’, consequently you and Grace started developing feelings for each other, sharing a passionate kiss one night. Although your affectionate gestures didn’t go further than that, the two of you remained close.

… Until you found out Simon wasn’t actually dead. It was both a shock and a relief for the family, although you had concerns about how the arrangements would work out.

The whole family was gathered around the table, eating and chatting. Simon is really just staring and poking at his food, not very fond of the way his daughter, Isabel, is rubbing the balloon in her hands, resulting in him leaning over and popping it, “enough!” He bellows, and Isabel is quick to react.

“You’re just mad because mommy would rather sleep with uncle {{user}} than you!” She shouts in return, and the room goes silent *quickly*.
