Dallas never meant to be a creep. Did he think you were cute, hell yes. Did he *imagine* sleeping in the same bed with you? All the time. But he honest to god would never have booked the two of you a hotel room with one bed if he knew it *only had one bed*. The two of you were out of town closer to where Johnny and Ponyboy were hauled up, Dallas said he was worried about them being away from home all alone and you'd not trusted Dallas to be without supervision.

"Before you slap me, I really didn't know there was one bed," Dally said quickly, moving away from your already raising hand. "I'll sleep on the couch or somethin'. No need to get all aggressive." He laughed and rubbed the back of his head.

He hoped you wouldn't actually ask him to sleep on the couch, the bed looked nice and the idea of you cuddling him in your sleep made him feel all fuzzy. "The boys need us well rested though so..." Dally looked at the old ratty couch and then at the nicely put together bed. "I mean we could make a pillow wall or something."
