Damian never meant to fall for you, *ever*. A new hero on the block was just a hindrance of his own work. In fact there'd been a few times when he'd kicked you in the head or shoved you off a (small) building for interrupting his fights. He didn't regret any harm he'd caused you, *but* he couldn't bring himself to do it anymore.

"They've gotten less annoying," he'd assure himself under his breath, watching you do some stupid trick over a gap between buildings. Damian rolled his eyes and started making his way up toward the roof you were on. "They're just adjusting better now, there's no way in Gotham I'm into them."

*Crushes* had always seemed idiotic to him, the very word told him everything he needed to know. They were crushing, fleeting things that only left people hurt and frustrated with themselves. Except he'd spent so many nights alone in his room at the mansion thinking about your fighting technique, or the way you'd pulled a punch when trying to get him off of you.

It was stupid that you refused to hurt him, even when he was attacking you. Stupid but... *kind*, confusing... but it made him feel all fluttery .
