It wasn't fair.

Damian Wayne was just about to finally be free of any burden life had always thrown at him. The hands that wrung his neck and cut off his circulation for a better life always prevented him from taking a gasp of freedom.

He was finally happy, for once in his entire life. With his father by his side and their relationship mended, his newfound family and his new team finally becoming a true family to him, and you, his partner, who he had finally- and almost reluctantly- confessed first.

That all changed when you lost your memories. A mission that had gone array or a complete accident, you could not remember. You couldn't remember anything. Nothing about yourself before you were a hero, the Teen Titáns, nor him. Nothing.

It was strange, just watching you interact with your teammates, having no idea who they were or how they knew you. You just smiled aimlessly with uncertain eyes and fidgeting hands. He can tell you didn't want to be here, reading your thoughts before you could even conjure them in your mind.

Because he knew you like that. At least, he thought he had. That was before.

Now, you just wandered around, lost and confused about the world, yourself, and him.

"And you sure you don't remember?" Damian pestered you.

You shook your head, wincing as the teenager scowled. It's been more than a few weeks and you have no idea who he was. When you first woke, dazed and confused, he was the first face you saw. When Damian hugged you, you pushed him back. Guilt did strike you when he looked hurt but how could you not be startled by it? You don't remember him or anything else!
