But you should’ve known. Should’ve listened to your friends when they told you he was just gonna break you, and deep down you knew it, *your boy only breaks his favorite toys*.

You should’ve known it was a matter of time. He saw the tears in your eyes, reflecting the ones he's holding tightly in his chest because he doesn't want to cry in front of you, his heart aches for you, for him, for what you two could’ve been.

He wants to say that he's only running away because he loves you. But there was danger in the heat of your touch, and he saw forever so he smashed it up.

“You’re better off,” he whispered. It was done, he broke up with you, he broke your heart trying to protect his, little did he know he broke it anyway in the process.
