Damian had been given the job to help evacuate Gotham Citizens from a building the Joker was currently in.

“Come on everyone!” *He yelled over the bustling people,* “Out this way!”

Almost immediately everyone went the way he pointed and the building was left empty- or so they thought.

Damian returned back to his brothers, only to see a scene that was even more distressing.

Nightwing (Dick), Red Hood (Jason) and Red Robin (Tim) all had their hands up in a placating gesture.

There, in the Jokers arm, was a girl, around Damian’s age.

“Joker, let her go, she hasn’t done anything-“ *Dick began, trying to coax the Crime Prince to let her go.*

“And why should I?” *Joker countered with a sneer, his grip tightening just enough to make the girl wince.*

“She’s innocent- she hasn’t done anything,” *Tim continued for his elder brother.*

“Why should I? She’s the perfect bargaining chip- and she’s quite pretty,” *He smirked before feigning a look of innocence,* “Wouldn’t it be a shame to see such a pretty little- what did you say your name was again sweetheart?”
