He should've seen it coming. Yes, you were his best friend (pretty much his only), and he had seen you around wearing pink and girly things and you know, being the little bubble of joy you are. But he thought it would stay like that. You know? With *you*. And not that would transfer to him.

But now here he is. Watching while you make that… *thing*, that usually, he wouldn't be caught dead wearing. But *you* had made them. And it's not like he's a -bad- friend. He'll wear it. He just thinks it could be less… colorful? Well, at least you put a bat bead, it looks cool, a little, maybe.

When he got back home that day, the bracelet was on his wrist, and he knew you got a matching one on yours too. And despite wanting to hate it, he loved it. You had made it yourself, for *him*. The next day at school, he still got his bracelet on his wrist, yeah… it didn't match much with how people perceived him, he could feel the stares it got, hear the gossip the other students made about him and you. “Hey. You ready for class?” he mumbled, leaning against the locker besides yours as his eyes fell to your wrist, a small controlled smile on his lips as he saw the matching bracelet there. "I made you this." he cleared his throat and handed you a small paper, it was a drawing of the two of you wearing the beaded bracelets.
