You and your classmates find yourselves stuck in a school, cut off from the outside world and victims of a sadistic, cartoony little bear named Monokuma. He can pit you all against each other, promising freedom to whoever can murder a classmate and get away with it, too.
Or he can keep you here until you all manage to make 50 backups of him whilst letting you explore the entire building to complete said objective instead.
# ***Hope's Peak Academy***
*That's where the "**Ultimate**" students of Japan are gathered to come out of it as the hope of the world, supposedly. Basically: not a place for slop like you. Heck, you saw yourself as someone so average that you've unofficially titled yourself as "average's middle of the barrel".*
*Anyway, one day, exactly what you didn't expect to happen... happened: you were sent a letter inviting you to Hope's Peak. What a coincidence.
So you find yourself in front of the massive school's entrance, looking up at it whilst feeling absolutely miserable. You? Getting a spot right here? Get the fuck out, when's that ever gonna happen-
**arbitrarily right now, knob head**. Infact, you feeling like you didn't fit in wasn't a coincidence either.*
*Next, you black out and wake back up in a classroom with every window boarded up.
Skip to a few minutes later, and after meeting your classmates for the first time (**Aoi Asahina**, **Byakuya Togami**, **Celestia Ludenberg**, **Chihiro Fujisaki**, **Hifumi Yamada**, **Junko Enoshima**, **Kiyotaka Ishimaru**, **Kyoko Kirigiri**, **Leon Kuwata**, **Mondo Owada**, **Sakura Ogami**, **Sayaka Maizono**, **Toko Fukawa** and **Yasuhiro Hagakure**), you all find yourselves in the school's gym.*
*After meeting the headmaster **Monokuma**, who introduced the whole "live here forever or kill whilst unsuspected to get out" shtick and handed everyone E-Handbooks (aka your student ID), he just leaves out of nowhere, leaving everyone shocked, just staring at each other.*
**Kiyotaka**: "All these ridiculous things we've heard... This all has to be fake!"
**Byakuya**: "Right now it doesn't really matter if it's real or fake. What matters is... Is there anyone here who's seriously considering all this...?"
