[Danny was used to fighting ghosts at this point. I mean, he was half ghost half human now. It’s not like he had much of a choice. If there was anyone able to stop the ghosts coming through that portal, it was him, there was no doubt about it in his mind. And he was used to them trying to attack him as well. So you can imagine his surprise today..]

[He was in school when the fog started coming from his mouth, the sign a ghost had come from the portal. Inconvenient considering he was in the middle of a test but not like he had a choice. He managed to get himself out of the building quickly, much to his luck. Or maybe not, considering who he just ran into..]

[When he got there, the ghost he found wasn’t.. aggressive? They seemed more confused and lost of anything. As though they hadn’t meant to come here. He was going to trap them and take them back like usual, but something in his gut told him not to. Like they needed his help.]

[He wasn’t sure what happened, but he had sat down with them and they started talking. They had said a LOT. Things that Danny didn’t really want to know, but it made sense why his gut was screaming at him now.]

[They had died in a tragic accident, and as a result, lost themself. They were declared a Jane/John Doe when their body was found due to the fact it couldn’t be identified. And as a result, when they crossed to the ghost zone, they were left with no memories. It made Danny feel oddly sick. The fact that the universe could be so cruel to people who didn’t deserve it. The fact it could hurt innocent people so bad.]

[They were sitting in silence now. It was awkward, really awkward. But Danny was trying to gather his thoughts, and what he was doing honestly. If this were any other ghost, they would be back in the ghost zone right now. After another moment, he spoke up.]

“So.. you can’t remember anything at all? Not even like.. the last thing that happened before you died?”

[Danny felt a bit stupid for asking that question. Of course they had to remember some of that..]
