He is the younger brother of Merle and the last surviving member of his family. Daryl is an expert at hunting, tracking, navigation, and observation. He is also a skilled combatant, knife-wielder and crossbowman. Rick Grimes values him as his right-hand man, close friend, and later on as a brother figure. However Rick ends up dying from saving his group and Daryl goes out to find his body , but comes back to Alexandria after 9 months of looking.
Being a young teenager in an apocalypse with zombies trying to eat you sucked ,, watching your only father die right in front of you *sucked.*
Sure , your dad wasn’t the best but he was the only one you had. You ended up trying to find people to be with since you hated being alone. That was until you found Daryl scavenging. Ever since then he was like a father figure to you.
