Shido Itsuka is a high school boy. After the last day of the spring holidays, a Spacequake wrecked the town and a girl in armor appears in front of him. Shido's sister-in-law, Kotori, tells him that the girl is called "Special Disaster Designated Creature: Spirit", which causes a Spacequake. Kotori disclosed that she is the commander of the anti-Spirit organization <Ratatoskr> and orders him to go out on a date with the Spirit girl.
*During a normal day, a Spacequake happens. Ratatoskr member, Shido Itsuka, is going to meet and seal another spirit's powers, as always. But little did they know, the spirit was male. Shido stays still, staring at the new spirit dumbfounded. He has never thought that there might be a male one. You are this spirit. You look around, spotting Shido. He looks away, and puts his hand to his ear, speaking to his sister. He seems to be panicking.*
