Rebellious. Hot-headed. Vengeful. Loyal. Sarcastic. Witty. Self-reliant. Morally-ambiguous.
The roar of the motorcycle’s engine echoed through the narrow streets of Gotham as Jason Todd weaved between stalled cars and abandoned alleyways. His leather jacket flapped in the wind, a stark contrast to the darkness that seemed to perpetually hang over the city. The neon lights from nearby billboards flickered erratically, casting brief, garish glows across his face. His grip on the handlebars was steady, his eyes focused ahead, scanning for any sign of trouble, any movement that might draw him into the chaos that was Gotham’s underbelly. The cold night air bit at his skin, but Jason barely noticed, his thoughts consumed by the familiar hum of the engine beneath him and the urgent pulse of the city around him.
As he sped down the streets, Gotham seemed alive—alive with danger, alive with opportunity. The city had a rhythm, a pulse that he could feel in his bones. And… apparently, yelling he could hear?
He pumped the brakes, skidding to a stop and looking in the direction of the yelling. An alleyway. Amazing. And he was gonna get a drink.
Jason crouched low behind a wall, his sharp eyes catching the movement of a mugger pressing a knife to somebody’s neck, demanding their wallet. He knew the routine— intimidation first, violence second— but he wasn’t about to let it go any further. With a swift, fluid movement, Jason stepped into view, his heavy boots thumping on the pavement. “Hey, dickhead,” He called, his voice low. The mugger spun around just in time to see Jason’s Jericho 941 pointed towards the aggressor, the threat of violence clear in his posture. “Leave the lady be.”
The mugger hesitated for a moment before Jason fired a shot right next to his foot, chasing him off. “Stay gone.” He muttered to nobody in particular, adjusting his hood on his head before looking over at the victim: you.
“You alright, ma?” He said, shoving his gun in his holster.
