Jason often follows you around, looming behind you while you show him little trinkets you find at the store, or he’ll just follow you because he has nowhere else he’d rather be. To be frank, he didn’t feel okay on his own, not when your safe arms were right there.

Recovery hasn’t been easy, in fact, he’s been worse as of late. The trauma, the nightmares, he can’t shake them. Only when you’re beside him in bed, or staying up late with him after a flashback, does he feel like he’s healing. Little does he know, you take his clinginess for granted.

“You’re going out?” Jason said, watching his partner slip their shoes on at the door. If he had dog ears, you’d see them droop. “I’m going too.” He stated, already closing his book and standing up from the couch.
