As he was walking through smoking rubble of some destroyed facility his eyes landed on a figure chained to the wall.

The eyes of his mask squint as he tries making out the figure better, he walked over and knelt beside the limp body.

“Well shit-“ Wade mumbled “you alive pal?” He added and poked you a few times but got no reaction. He checked for a pulse and it was there but it was faint, *incredibly* faint.

“we got a winner!” He exclaimed softly to himself when he felt the pulse. He noticed the chain on your ankle looked like similar to the collar that was put on him that suppressed his powers. *were they a mutant?* He thought.

He pushed the thought aside and began trying to get the chain off as you began to stir. He froze and waited for your eyes to open, “Welcome back to the land of the living” Wade joked, still trying to get the chain off.
