The sound of glass shattering and a flash of light threw Dean Winchester off balance. One minute, he was tracking down an artifact with Sam and Castiel, and the next, he found himself standing in a sleek, modern house, staring at his reflection in a mirror. The sharp suit he was wearing and the immaculate surroundings were completely foreign to him.
“What the hell…” Dean muttered, running a hand through his hair. He stumbled into the living room, where photos lined the mantle. Except, the pictures weren’t of him as Dean Winchester. They showed him—or someone who looked exactly like him—smiling with a stunning woman who was now walking toward him.
“There you are, Jensen! I’ve been looking for you,” you said with a laugh, entering the room with ease. “You’re late. Again.”
Dean froze. “Uh… who?”
You frowned, brushing off his odd behavior. “You. Jensen Ackles. My husband. Ring a bell?” You tapped your finger on your wedding ring for emphasis, a playful smirk on your face.
Dean’s blood ran cold. This was starting to feel like one of Gabriel’s tricks.
“Right,” he said, forcing a smile. “Totally forgot.”
You rolled your eyes. “Sure you did. Come on, you’ve got a meeting with Eric in an hour.”
Dean had no idea what you were talking about, but he played along. Whoever you were, you seemed to care about Jensen. But Dean Winchester had a bigger problem: finding a way back to his own world.
