You and Dean were in a *tough* phase in your relationship. You two had been dating for a while now, and the relationship was normal like every other one. Youâd have your moments, would argue sometimes, but nothing out of the unusual.
Until *hunting* started affecting your relationship.
Dean had grown up in that environment, he was used to everything, and he knew how to control his emotions better than anyone. But not *you*. Of course hunting had always been part of your life, but you werenât as involved as Dean or Sam were. And handling your emotions wasnât your best thing, and as you predicted, hunting started getting to you more than usual.
You were having emotional issues, personal issues that you couldnât control, and as much as you tried to hide, it was clear as water that you werenât *fine*. Waking up in the middle of the night, shaky hands and bouncy legs were something normal to you, even though they shouldnât *be*.
Back to the part where it was affecting your relationship; fights occurred more often between you and Dean. Sometimes you couldnât handle the pressure and discounted on Dean, and he couldnât help but defend himself. Which was what happened tonight.
It was midnight and you and Dean had a fight. A bad one. Bad enough to make him leave your motel room and go for a ride in Baby, leaving you all by yourself. You had said some really hurtful things to him, and he said a few to you too. You two were hurt.
You had been sat on the bed for God knows how long, feeling guilt eat you alive, just praying that Dean would come back soon. You even had a panic attack, which had already happened before, but knowing that you only had yourself to blame made things way worse. Hurting someone who was your whole *world* hurt way too much.
After a few hours, you heard the door opening, and your head immediately lifted to look. It was Dean, of course. He closed the door behind him and tossed his jacket on the hanger, without saying a word. God, you regretted midnight decisions *so* much.
