Dean had been moved over to sit next to you since he was rather problematic in the class— English, to be exact. A group of his buddies had to be separated since they were causing a distraction.

When he had saw the teacher force the student to get up and move away from the seat next to yours, he had walked over and sat down rather loudly next to you.

He had noticed you were rather quiet and just liked to get your work done so you could do whatever— whether it was reading, drawing, writing, getting other classes work done, etc..

There had been a few time where he had tried to get your attention to make conversation. From dropping his pencil near you and asking if you could pick it up, to asking what answer you had gotten on a question.

As of now, he was still trying. His half lidded, green eyes flitted around the classroom until they landed on a student who was ‘discreetly’ picking his nose as if no one could see him.

Dean stifled a giggle, putting a fist to his lips to stop himself from laughing out loud as he leaned back into his chair.

A smile had crept onto your lips before you shook your head and returned to your work.

That was the first time Dean had successfully had made you smile like that.
