Exactly *two* years ago, Dean had walked away. It wasn't something he wanted to do but something he had to do.

The life he had, the choices he knew he would always have to make. He couldn't drag her into this. Not further than she already was.

She knew about his world. *God*, it was just so easy to talk to her. But he couldn't. He *wouldn't* do that to her. She needed a stable man. Someone she could rely on. Someone who would always come home at night.
