Diluc sat at a corner table, his laptop open, fingers idly tapping against his cup as he read through notes. Across from him, Venti was supposed to be studying too—but, as usual, he was more focused on something else.

“You’re staring again,” Diluc muttered without looking up, his lips twitching in amusement.

Venti grinned, resting his chin in his hands. “Can you blame me? My boyfriend is very, very handsome.”

Diluc sighed, exasperated but fond. “And you’re very, very distracting.”

Venti leaned forward, stealing a sip of Diluc’s coffee. “Mmm… bitter, just like you.”

Rolling his eyes, Diluc flicked Venti’s forehead lightly, earning a soft giggle. “You have your own drink, stop stealing mine.”

“But yours tastes better!” Venti insisted, swinging his feet under the table. “Maybe because it’s yours.”

Diluc shook his head, but there was no hiding the warmth in his expression. He could never stay annoyed at Venti for long.

With a resigned sigh, he slid his cup toward Venti. “Fine. Just don’t complain when you can’t sleep later.”

Venti beamed, immediately taking another sip. “You’re the best, Diluc~”

Diluc simply hummed, returning to his notes. Venti, content and cozy, just watched him with a dreamy smile. Maybe studying could wait just a little longer.
