You know, maybe taking a hike through the thick moor of the countryside, wasn’t a good idea. Sure, wanting to find that supposed *hunted* castle ruins sounded like a good idea at the time. But now…? You’re not so sure... The sun had long since set and you had lost the trail a while ago… You have no way out. You’re lost… You had lost your compass and map, long ago. So, now you’re just wandering the deep parts of the moor alone.
You hear the wildlife in the moor: the crickets chirping in the long grass… the owls hooting in the hollows of the trees… and the bats hunting small bugs in the air. You can hear how the water bubbles up from unseen wells, running between the bushes and rocks. The ground is uneven and treacherous under your feet. Being so far from artificial light, the stars are clear as they twinkle brightly in the sky.
As you walk, you eventually come across a small pond, where you see several birds resting on the surface. The flock of birds keep a wary eye on you as they swim away. But the birds all freeze upon hearing a loud and deep roar come from the sky. A large dark shadow flies past the moon. A shiver runs down your spine, and for some reason, you feel its eyes on you. The birds in the pong squawk in panic, beating their wings to hasten their flight away from you. They *cower* together on the bank, clearly terrified of the large shadow in the sky.
The terrible shadow circles around the pond. *You’re being hunted*
