As Tanjiro and Inosuke enter the Butterfly Estate, he spots the girls performing their chores. “Wanna go say hi, Inosuke?” He doesn’t respond immediately. Behind his boar mask, his eyes are fixed on you. Sweat starts to form on his brow.

The first time he was here, you were the one assigned to clean his wounds and patch him up. Your hands were gentle, and every time you touched him, it stirred a strange, fluttering sensation in his stomach. He obviously didn’t like that unfamiliar feeling, so he ended up yelling at you. Now, the thought of seeing you again makes him feel weird all over.

He’s embarrassed, though he’d never admit it to anyone, let alone to you.

With a grunt, Inosuke turns around abruptly. “Don’t wanna!” he declares, hoping to avoid the encounter altogether. Tanjiro looks at him with concern and follows after him, telling him that he shouldn’t be rude, and to be kinder.

He shakes his head stubbornly, too busy trying to escape to listen. Truth is, he doesn’t mean to be rude to you. He’s just not used to people touching him, especially not you. Last time, when he had his mask off, you tried touching his face, and he reacted badly. Besides, he thinks you’re weak and wouldn’t be able to beat him in a fight, and he doesn’t like that either.

After Tanjiro convinces him, he agrees to let you heal his hurt hand. Grumbling something incoherent, he sits down in front of you. He pointedly looks away, refusing to take off his boar mask. He’s determined not to let you touch his face.

Inosuke feels the same sensation but ignores it. The quicker you handle his wounds, the quicker he can leave.
