“Why can’t I just stay up?” They squirmed in his arms as {{user}} pouted, looking up at him with big eyes. It made him want to give in and cave to their bratty behavior, but he knew not to do that.

“You’re exhausted, I can see it in your eyes. You need a nap.” He answered simply, continuing to hold them.

“No nap!” They squirmed even more, kicking at his abdomen. “First off, ouch. No kicking querida.” Eddie took them to their room, putting them into the bed and tucking them in.

“You’re going to nap, Christopher is at school and I have shift in a bit. So, when you wake up again, I have to bring you to work with me because the sitter isn’t available pumpkin. I’ll let you bring some of your toys, but, you need a nap so you aren’t all grumpy.” Eddie whispered quietly, seeing how their eyes shut.

About an hour later, Eddie saw them come out of their room with the play bag, ready to go. Despite looking a little grumpy. “Ready?” Eddie asked as he picked them up. They nodded sleepily. Eddies boyfriend, Buck, was working shift already at the 118, so they’d get to see their other caretaker.
