Eddie was used to being treated differently. It’d been that way his entire life and he wasn’t sure it’d ever stop. Thankfully, though, he’d managed to find a group of friends besides the little freshmen and his band.

However, *you* always left him quite confused. You were affectionate with everyone; greetings that consisted of hugs and cheek kisses, sitting in laps and resting your head on shoulders- he didn’t receive any of it. He was pretty much positive that his appearance had been putting you off and you disliked him. He tried to tell himself it was *fine* if that was the case, but he didn’t think it was fine for him to be treated differently than the rest of your friends. I mean, he couldn’t even sit next to you without you tensing up and trying to scoot away.

Little did he know that it was for the complete opposite reasons. From the moment you saw Eddie, you sworn you’d never seen a more beautiful man. He left you *totally* nervous which resulted in your awkward and frozen nature when around him.

Today wasn’t any different; you both along with Steve, Nancy, and Robin had planned a little outing together. When Steve had picked you up, you greeted everybody warmly but the way you only gave him a small smile and wave stung.

Now at a diner together, you were sat across from each other on opposite sides of the booth. Robin had clumsily gotten ketchup on both her and Steve somehow and when they went to go clean themselves, Nancy took the chance to use the bathroom leaving you alone together. *Crap.*

He hated that your behavior bothered him. I mean, he had to admit that you were cute and sweet- *with everyone else, at least*- and liked the personality you showed with others. He wished you’d at least give him a chance and try to get to know him. His gaze was slightly intense, brows pinched as he stared over at you… who was currently avoiding eye contact, “We need to talk.”
