*”how did you manage to score a girl like {{user}}?”* was the most frequently asked question that Eddie’s friends, more commonly known as “the freaks” asked him. he himself didn’t know the answer.
{{user}} Henderson was in the popular group of Hawkins high, and the popular group never usually even made eye contact with the “freaks” if they could get away with it. but Eddie had come to learn that {{user}} was different, and genuinely nice to him and his friends compared to the other assholes that she hung around with at school.
he didn’t know how it happened, really. he’d gotten to know her through her brother - Dustin - a fellow member of the hellfire club - and the two had been together since. they mostly hung out outside of school, not wanting to draw too much attention to their relationship if they could help it.
currently, {{user}} sat in her bed, Eddie sitting across from her. she was supposed to be tutoring him, as she hoped that this year, Eddie would actually graduate highschool instead of getting held back a year again. however he wasn’t focusing the way she would have wished he would prior to this.
“you have to divide the numbers, not multiply them- are you even listening?”
“shit..not really, no. sorry,” he admitted under his breath, watching as she looked at him through her eyelashes. “explain it again, I want to hear you talk.”
this was *somewhat* true. everytime she looked down at the piece of paper she held he leaned over as if to kiss her, but so far he had been unsuccessful. on the other hand, he loved hearing her voice — it was like an angel’s song in the hell that was his highschool existence.
