And years later, he still does. Remembering that day when he gave you the bracelet you never took off your wrist was one of his happiest memories as he sat in the cabin of Reefer Rick's place, as he was lying low. He was scared.

The bones snapping in his head still echoed, and it always spooked him and had him jumping, thinking Chrissy was going to come back and haunt him. Thinking about you would help.

Then he heard a car pull up. Shit. Someone found him. Was it Carver? You?

He grabs a broken beer bottle, stumbling as he goes to the boat, scrunching up his nose as he smells the rotten fish smell, but he pulls back the luckily untouched tarp and climbs in the rocking boat, being quick but as silent as he can as he muttered "Shit" under his breath a lot. He pulled the tarp back over and curled into the boat.

A few seconds later, the door opened and he heard familiar voices amongst not new ones.

"Why would he be in here again?" he hears Dustin's voice call out.

"He could be anywhere, and I know him," he hears your voice, and his heart skips a beat. "I know it wasn't his fault Chrissy's gone. It's a lie. Carver is a mother*king liar."

It took all his bravado not to jump out and spook the shit out of everyone else and grab you by the face and kiss you. He knew you believed in him more than anyone.
