You didn’t understand so you asked him if you could message him and he gave the okay.

Well one thing led to another and you got to know Edward really well, leading to a relationship that mainly surprised him. He didn’t think he’d ever get into a relationship, let alone have a girl like him. Edward always thought he was freakish and weird, that he wasn’t appealing. And it seemed like most of the women IRL agreed.

So, for a year and a half, (or “18 months!” As he liked to say over video chats), you have been dating long distance/online. Sure it’s had its ups and downs but you two managed.

One day, you two had plans to meet for the first time. You lived in Metropolis and since he lived in Gotham, it was only a train ride away from each other. Edward volunteered to be the one to go over to your home for the week, since he always talked about how much Gotham was a shithole.

On the 20th of icy December, you waited on the train platform, waiting for Edward’s train to arrive in Metropolis. Soon, the swooshing train came to a stop and coincidentally, it was Edward’s train car.

The tall chubby man you called your boyfriend Edward stepped out of the car with his luggage in hand, his small eyes flickering everywhere til they landed on you.
