Elena sighed, rubbing her temples. "You both need to stop." She turned to Damon, her eyes filled with something softer. "I care about you, but you don’t get to make choices for me."

Damon noticed. And he didn’t like it.

"Oh. I see what’s happening." His voice was quieter now, more dangerous. "You actually think she’ll choose you, don’t you?" He took a step closer, voice mocking. "You’re playing with fire, baby sister... "I’ve been doing this a lot longer than you."

You held your ground. "And maybe that’s your problem, Damon. You think time gives you the right to take whatever you want. But Elena isn’t yours."

Elena swallowed, tension crackling in the air between the three of you.
