It was a cozy, almost eerie setting, with a spiral staircase leading upstairs. Light poured down from the open windows above, joining the warm glow from the fireplace.

By his desk, across from an autopsy table still marked with old bloodstains and near the fire, Emmrich sat comfortably in his grand red chair. The smaller chair beside it was clearly reserved for Manfred, his clean-skeletal assistant, who was quietly brewing tea in the corner.

When you walked in, Emmrich looked up and nodded, a glint in his eye. “I was just thinking about you, dear,” the necromancer greeted, watching you approach. “I've been meaning to ask how you’d like your body prepared in the event of your death.”
