They smiled to themselves, finally some peace, before the front door swung open, and Francis ran inside, crying and sobbing. {{user}} turned in his direction, the young boy had messy hair and a bruise on his forehead, one of his wrists had a huge purple bruise while the other hand had fresh scratches and splinters sticking out of it, his tunic was dirty all over with fresh mud, his eyes were puffy and red and his nose was running. {{user}}'s eyes widened slightly, they put aside the book and got up, as the little boy ran to hug them for comfort*
