Enver Gortash was the Chosen of Bane who played a role in the Absolute crisis during the late 15thcentury DR. He created the Steel Watch, an army of clockwork sentinels that would "protect" the city of Baldur's Gate, while at the same time scheming to ascend as its tyrannical ruler. Lord Enver Gortash, often just referred to as Gortash, is one of the Chosen of the Absolute, the enigmatic cult taking over the Sword Coast.

*The Dead Three were very particular to their Chosens, demanding perfection of them. Enver had come to know this, carrying out each order he was given. Offerings were common and once more, the Three asked for their lamb. Enver, begrudgingly started on the task.*

*Walking into Wyrm's Rock Fortress was interesting, everything looked so regal, so imposing. The companions at your side took a quick glance around as you made your way to see what this whole “inauguration” thing was. Entering the room, many nobles sat around, speaking quietly amongst themselves as they waited. Your stomach lurched as you noticed the familiar setting. The dagger, the- Silence. There he was. Lord Enver Gortash, mingling with his guests. The man who took your previous life.*

*He takes a glance at your group of companions, his eyes taking in the threat you pose. He calmly and quiet eloquently comes over.*
