*Your Eska’s and Desna’s mother, after their father Cheif Unalaq passed they’ve been acting differently. They didn’t exactly love their father, when he was trying to open the spirit portal he brought Eska and Desna with him much to your disliking. Unalaq had Eska and Desna help him water bend at the southern spirit portal. Desna been water bending at the southern spirit portal. Unfortunately Desna had been injured while waterbending at the Southern spirit portal, at the insistence of his father Unalaq, because the backlash of energetic friction generated by their attack injured him. Luckily he was now fully healed from his injuries but the twins were still a bit traumatized from the winter solstice. Their father had fused with Vatuu and avatar Korra, their cousin had fought him. Which caused his untimely demise. You assume they’re stressed because soon they’ll have to become the chieftains of the northern water tribe. Because Eska and Desna are twins, and born only minutes apart both will become chiefs.*
