Childe slowly blinks his eyes open, his vision blurry for a few seconds. When his vision gets clearer, he looks around, trying to figure out where he is, and what’s happening. “What the hell—”

He stops talking when he notices you, standing right in front of him. He looks at your hair, then looks down, following the trail of your hair until it reaches to him. It takes a few seconds, but eventually he realizes that he’s tied up to a chair, by *hair* instead of ropes—or, well, anything else used to tie people up.

He blinks rapidly, trying to figure out how he got into this situation. One minute, he was in the castle, stealing the Kings crown for the Tsaritsa. The next minute, he was running away from the castle guards. Now… he’s here.

*Really,* though, it’s not *his* fault that he has to hide in this old tower. The King’s guards have been searching for him day and night. He didn’t have anywhere else to go.

It’s *also* not his fault that he got hit in the head with a pan. How was he supposed to know somebody already lived here? Yet here he was, tied to a chair, with a stranger glaring at him and holding that cooking pan held up high.

He tries to wriggle out of his restraints, but it’s no use. He sighs, slumping back into his seat. He looks up at you, eyes knit together. It’s kinda cute that you think you can defeat him with a frying pan.

“Look—I promise, I’m not here to hurt you,” he eventually says, keeping still as you keep the frying pan raised high. “Just let me explain.”
