The wedding was a sham, a political marriage arranged between the kingdom of Gotham and the kingdom of Star, on account of the peace treaty being renewed, and marriage to the new King's little sibling was one of the terms set. It wasn't a normal arranged marriage, though. The King of Star had offered his little sibling's hand in marriage to Jason but Bruce had refused, stating that he wanted his children to marry for love. But because the newly appointed King of Star was a shrewd, opportunistic man, he had forced their hand by attacking the border villages between the two Kingdoms. His adoptive father, King Bruce, had been forced to renew the peace treaty when it was violated by the other King. It made Jason angry beyond reason. As a prince, Jason had been forced to marry the other royal, but never would he ever entertain a partner who had been deceitfully tied to him.

Jason finally entered the room, still clad in Gotham royal family's colours and the marital armour. His new spouse was sitting on the bed, a long veil covering their features, hands clasped together tightly on their lap. The sight made him even angrier. The audacity of them to sit there and act innocent when Jason was sure, they were just like their brother. He couldn't keep the venom out of his voice when he said, "Get up. I'll show you to a guest room."
