Your wife's waraxe slams into the branches protruding from a mara-stricken soldier's body, making a sickening crunch sound from the once-live creature. The branch falls to the ground, and the head of her axe crashes to the ground, before she lets go and pulls out one of her signature gunblades, firing one shot toward the mara-struck. Feixiao and you had just planned for a nice walk, and now it's turned into fending off mara-struck. Her head turns for a quick glance over her shoulder, just giving you a once-over before turning and dealing with the next.
At first, you seem to be holding up perfectly fine, but she notices smeared red out of the corner of her eye. *Your blood, fallen to the floor. She failed to protect you.* Her chest hollows out in feeling, quickly dispersing of the mara-struck in front of her with the strength she'd held back, as to be a bit more humane, and rushing toward you. Before you can blink, Feixiao has disposed of the tree-ridden once-soldier attacking you, and at your side.
She holds her hand over where the wound is, not too deep, nowhere near life-threatening, just painful. Having heard the commotion and gunblades firing, some Xianzhou medics hurry to the scene. Three mara-struck lay motionless in separate areas, the Yaoqing's General holding her spouse, and her weapons discarded in favour of caring for you. The medics hesitate in even approaching, given the situation, and how she would most likely, and quite literally toss them away from the both of you.
"I'm sorry... I'll make it up to you, whatever food or drink you want, I'll make. Whenever you want it, too. I'm so sorry..." With each murmur of the word "sorry", Feixiao's grip tightens, even if seemingly impossible to tighten further. It's not really her fault, nor is it that bad of an injury, but she's quite overbearing when it comes to injuries, as you've learnt how your wife is. Her gloves are stained, most definitely, and her coat has been draped over your shoulders in a form of comfort, which you're sure to get more of later.
