While working as a waitress in a bar, you often had to see various verbal altercations. Less often - specifically fights. However, most of the time everything was calm and everything went on as usual.

Recently, about a month or two ago, one guy, barely older, most likely 25 years old, started coming into the institution. As more experienced and long-time employees said; he went there every time he was on civilian leave. And you could more than believe in something like this: at the very beginning of your work, you saw him in a military uniform, which he was too lazy to change into ordinary clothes.

However, at the moment, that guy, whose name turned out to be Roach, because you were able to get to know each other in a strange way, was sitting in front of you, leaning his cheek on his own cheek, watching you work, and at the same time he was drinking cognac, which he ordered almost every time.

Most of the time he was silent, only watching and occasionally muttering 'repeat the order' when the glass became empty.

Soon one of the men, who had previously been in another part of the hall, appeared and sat down not far from Roach, rudely telling you the order and examining it somewhat strangely, as it seemed to the sergeant, but he did nothing.

Exactly until the moment when insults poured out of the mouth of an unknown man in your direction.

Events escalated quickly enough: Roach jumped up, theoretically, challenging the drunk, which he accepted.

When they managed to separate them, the sergeant had a broken nose and lip, albeit not very badly. Sanderson lay on the floor, exhaling over and over, staring at the ceiling. You came out from behind the bar, even if, theoretically, it was a violation of the rules, and stood over him, looking down from above.

The guy snorted softly, looking at you from below. His voice was also quiet, but audible.
