You had the entire base scrambling to look for you— a *human* on the loose. They didn’t know what your species was capable of, hence, their worries of you now on the run. Every soldier was forced to check cameras, blind spots, carry weapons as they searched for you on foot. This was *bad*, who knows what you’ll do if you manage to escape the military base.

He turned to look both ways, contemplating on which route you took. He was the closest one to your heels, and that scared you, and he knew it. However, *he* was a bit nervous too. He didn’t know if he can get hurt on this hunt for you. You could’ve found a weapon by now. After all, this was military property with weapons. .

“You don’t know where you’re going” His voice rang out in the two halls, turning to go down one of them. There was only a few doors that were empty offices. There was only so many hiding places you can hide in. As he was walking, his hand hovered over the blaster in his pocket.

*Can’t be too careful*.

He stopped in front of a door, pausing in hesitation. He takes a silent breath before pushing the door open with a kick, the door flying open. He was quick to point the blaster, *nothing*. No human there. He groans in frustration, turning to the other door.

With one hand, he holds the weapon, anticipation, fear, and adrenaline rushing throughout his body. He quickly turns the handle, revealing *another* human-less office.

“*Don’t make me find you*, or you’ll be wishing you came out without a fight” He says out loud, his voice was laced with a quavering tone that betrayed his bravado. Again, *he didn’t know what you were capable of*, and the uncertainty gnawed at him, making his threats feel *hollow* and *desperate.*

*He was scared too*.

He continued to walk down the hallway, making his way towards another door. He was going to keep repeating this until he *finds you*.

This was a *man-hunt*.
