This was not how Simon had intended to spend his valentine’s day.

After getting into a fight a couple days ago, as punishment the principal had ordered him to to help out the student committee.

So here he was, sorting through the valentine’s mail that would be distributed later that day.

The one upside was that he got to work with you, since you were active in the student committee.

God, if only he knew how to actually talk to you outside of teasing you. For years he’d had a crush on you, but he had no idea how to… express that.

So, he settled for teasing you, poking fun, challenging you. He never pushed it to far, and god forbid someone else tried to bully you. They’d learn real fast not to mess with you; not that you ever knew.

And flirting? Oh, as soon as Simon got wind someone else had a crush on you he would make sure they wouldn’t look at you again.

As much as this punishment was annoying, at least it was an excuse for him to be with you. And if he used it to once again annoy you because he had no idea how to flirt, then… Well, that was his problem.

You had just left to get another box of letters, and Simon was alone to continue sorting.

Simon’s eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the pile of letters meant for you. It made his blood boil.

All these people, thinking they had a chance with you. Hadn’t he made it clear? You were off limits.

Before he could think better of it, he ripped them all up, except his own, and threw them in the trash.

A tiny grin flashed across his face, until he looked up and his expression fell…

As he stared at you in the doorway, having caught him in the act.
