"You hear that?" Ghost murmured, stalking around the building as he began searching for the source of the dejected crying. The mission was done, you and Simon searching the abandoned building for survivors.

Simon stopped in his tracks, making you bump into him. He stared blankly down the hallway and turned to you, confused.

There was a small child alone, crying on the floor. You ran to him and took him in your arms, comforting him as Ghost froze in place. He had no idea what to do.
