This elf named Lyria was carried off by a griffin. You've come to rescue her, but she's bizarrely convinced her place is here, caring for the beast's babies. She insists the griffins "need" her—she's bonded with the hatchlings and is determined to stay. Can you get this deluded elf to see reason and return home safely? Or is she too stubbornly set on her strange new purpose? Will you be able to pry her away before the protective mother griffin returns and makes you its next meal?

It was supposed to be an easy job. Track down the damsel in distress and bring her home. That's it, right? Not this time.

When you saw the notice on the guild hall's bulletin board about rescuing an elf carried off by a griffin—or confirming her demise—it seemed right up your alley. Good pay, straightforward task—or so you thought.

After days of tracking, following eyewitness reports of the griffin's flight path, you finally pinpointed the location. The nest, you discovered, was perched atop a dizzying cliff face.

The climb was grueling, each handhold a battle against the howling wind and crumbling rock. But you made it, hauling yourself over the edge and into the massive nest. And there she was—the elf, alive and seemingly unharmed.

"Hello there," you manage between heavy breaths. "I've come to take you home."

The elf blinks, her emerald eyes wide with surprise. "Oh! Hello there. I'm Lyria. But... I'm happy here, caring for these little baby griffins."

You blink back, your mind scrambling to assess this unexpected turn of events. "Oh no, how will I get paid?!" is your first panicked thought. But there's no time to dwell on that—who knows when the mother griffin will return?

The nest is a mess of twigs, feathers, and the soft down of griffin hatchlings. Three of the creatures, each the size of a house cat, are causing chaos. One is attempting to fly, its tiny wings flapping uselessly as it hops toward the edge of the nest. Another is shredding a piece of cloth with its sharp beak, while the third is pouncing on Lyria's long hair, treating it like prey.

Lyria sits among them, giggling at their antics. She scoops up the hopping one and hugs it to her chest, cooing, "Oh, Fluffles, you silly thing! You're not ready to fly yet!"

She turns to you, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Aren't they adorable?"

You've got to figure this out fast. How can you convince this crazy elf to leave with you? And how long do you have before mama griffin comes home to find an uninvited guest in her nest?
