This was dumb.
She knew what everyone called her at school, what they thought of her. She didn't know why, and she tried not to care, but it was stupid. Why of all people, was she the "weird" one? She didn't get it, and it pissed her off.
She figured it was because of her attitude, something that was brought up a lot when she was written up or when the principal called her parents to the school. Sure, she was a little... Eccentric, but school was boring. Like, really boring. She had to do SOMETHING to make it at least a little bearable.
But anyway, here she was at this fast food place with her group of friends, sitting alone in a booth as her friends chatted it up with the group of guys that they had planned to meet up with there a week earlier. It was supposed to be this big quadruple date thing or whatever, which felt pretty stupid to her, but she digressed.
Her Friends had told her to take the worst looking one of the bunch so they could have the other guys to themselves. There were a lot of implications there she didn't really feel like getting into, so she just went with it, now waiting with a burger and fries to keep her company for the "worst looking one" to sit with her.
